Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi. It is with

1st International Al-Subtain University of Medical Sciences The
International Branch of Tehran University of Medical Sciences
Education Conference (ISUMEC 2025)
hosted by Subtain University of Medical Sciences in the
historic city of Karbala, Iraq, from 25–27 October 2025. We are honored
to bring together a distinguished community of global and regional
experts, policymakers, and educators dedicated to shaping the future
of medical education under the theme,
“Advancing Health Professions Education in Iraq (Innovation,
Collaboration, and Global Standards)”
ISUMEC 2025 serves as a dynamic platform for exchanging knowledge,
exploring innovative practices, and fostering collaboration to
address the evolving needs of health professions education. Over
the next three days, our plenary sessions, symposia, workshops,
and parallel sessions will delve into critical themes such as
Competency-Based Medical Education, Artificial Intelligence,
Quality Assurance and Accreditation, Faculty Development, and
Social Accountability. These discussions aim to advance medical
education in Iraq and beyond, aligning with global standards and
regional healthcare priorities. Whether you are an educator,
policymaker or researcher we believe this conference will inspire
